Back Home
Well....after a nice (actually it was very easy) 8 hour journey we are home.

Both me (and hopefully) Siren learnt a lot - I certainly did - it was amazing watching Derek work and seeing him sorting out the issues that other people were having as well.

We were privileged enough to watch him working his dogs (one of whom he won the Nationals with a couple of years back)

It was quite intensive, but because Siren was quite a way behind everyone else we were really working on the stop thing (which she is still not great with). But I did really like Dereks training methods, they were very gentle compared to some I have heard about.

Siren has had 3 days of working the sheep about 5 times a day (for short bursts). I have a very small hope that it may have help her to calm down - but she still thinks it is the best game out there.
She spent the entire time she was not working watching the others, until the very last day when she finally was so tired she fell asleep instead.

I will attempt to sort some pictures at some point, but I have a hectic weekend ahead now with a HtM competition.

Hope everyone else is well - hope I have not missed anything too important.

Hannah

Can't wait for the pics! Storm's day is coming up, Aug 5th. Going to meet a trainer for an evaluation of whether or not he will make a stockdog. My opinion is yes!! But I am probably biased!
