over 50 BCs and aussie mixes confiscated from horders needing immediate help, Hendricks County, Indiana

You know, as I was reading this I instantly thought of Mia and how she is mostly black, so I wouldn't discount them being full BCs just based on their colour.

Such a sad story though isn't it. It's pretty tragic really that this sort of thing happens. Sad

On a side note, collies can be mostly black. All but 3 of Mia's litter (12 in all) were mostly black including her. Full collies the lot of them!

I did send the lady at the rescue rehoming them that info.. As I read up on bcs in the beginning a lot of them were mostly black or black and tan it seemed. I saw a bit of white on several of their toes and such. They really do not look like labs to me. I don't think bc and lab mixes would be long coated like they are. and I have not seen any labs on the rehoming or fostering sites.

At first they said there were bcs and aussies and mixes of them but I have not seen any aussies yet. Several have asked about them but as to date I have not seen any so I wonder if they got confused and thought bcs and aussies instead of just bcs.

Yes it is tragic and in Indiana it seems a lot in the last few years unless they have just started cracking down on them more. One lady had over 50 shih tzu and Pomerians in her home. It was so disgusting I almost threw up.

The pups will probably be okay to adopt out soon but those poor adults and some of them are gorgeous you can tell even dirty and nasty looking. They are so frightened and withdrawn they will definitely need rehabbing first.

And I agree I think they look all bc even though some of them are mostly black, but if you look they have long coats and some little white although some you have to look hard. They do not look like labs to me.
