Matching a dog's calming signals
#1
I thought this was interesting:

I've tried it quite a lot with Dash and it seems to relax him, particularly as he's still getting used to me.

Neat find! Ember is ALWAYS sending calming signals. It's really fun and interesting to learn their language - in my book, it's as important as them learning ours!

And I can just about hear the conversations they'd have with other dogs, much like in ours - "So my human seems to have the metal capacity of a 3, maybe 4 month old pup, and about 5 signals already, and we just started yesterday! Where's yours at?"

I've seen this before. I think it's pretty interesting. Thanks for sharing. Ever since seeing it I've been a little obsessed with trying to find them all. Tongue Because of it I've been paying closer attention to my dog's behaviors.

This is the sort of thing that really helps when you are building your relationship with your dog, especially rescues and rehomes.
Gotta love 'em.
