Alls I know is it really hurts I sprained mine badly and was on crutches for 2 weeks then tightly laced boot for another week or so.  Peg is hurting after pushing too hard yesterday but the glucosamine and hiking boot suport seems to be helping.

Peggy needs to use her ankle as an excuse to take it easy, keep her foot propped up, and catch up on any good books she has been planning to read (and let the pups curl up on the sofa with her). Smile

Thankfully, I have never sprained my ankle but when my daughter was recovering from surgery my husband sprained his ankle and was in a lot of pain and couldn't walk.  Fortunately, I had a friend with a set of crutches stored away that she loaned us so I had two people in the house on crutches.

It was really challenging.  I told my son that if he also hurt his ankle I was calling a babysitter for all of them and running away from home until everyone was healed. Frantic
