Why is my dog still barking/lunging?

A really great article came across my timeline on fear. Obviously, this is something close to my heart - and behavior is really just a fascinating ting in general.

There is some really good info on why some dogs seem resistant to fear-relieving-training, or bounce back to where they were (or worse) after just one instance.

Good article, hope it helps people understand that desensitising takes time. Wow, the number of times I have heard the words, "I have tried everything" and then discover everything was tried within a week or two.

This is Micah when it comes to strange loose dogs rushing him. As soon as he is doing well, we have another bad experience and we are back to step one, but we do get back to step 5 quicker each time.
Gotta love 'em.

That is a really helpful article - particularly the point about using longer duration exposure to a mild stimulus.
