Thank you! AKC and my breeder call my coat Gold with White Markings. There is a separate designation for Red coat color (in the USA, of course other countries may differ).

Isn't that weird that there is such a difference between countries. There is no gold in ANKC in Oz just red and ee red. I wonder what the UK and Europe call this colour. There is a good article on the colour in the BC Museum page but I am too technologically challenged to attach it LOL

Well give a link silly Wink , us 21st Century Girls (as opposed to, say 20th Century Boys ... does ANYBODY remember T-Rex?!?! My Master sure does!) can figure out ALL that computer stuff, no prob (my Master has used computers since the 60's ... including the first true personal computer, the TRS-80 Rolleyes )

Here's a link. http://www.bordercolliemuseum.org/BCLooks/Tan/Tan.html
Not sure if it's the same article Trifan was talking about though. There's a lot of info about BCs on this site regarding coat type. Definitely a nice little resource/reference.

"Tan" ?!?! Well that's what we Floridians get from lying around the pool (which I do from time to time) but my owners prefer the AKC designation, and sometimes call me the "Golden Jet" when I zoom around Big Grin

Sunny (like, Golden Sunshine, eh? Wink )

"Red" is actually the gene for brown, but BCs are called red instead. It can cover any brown color from liver to rust. Aussie red or ee red is a separate color.
Gotta love 'em.
