No he isn't. He could be but I didn't register him as I dont have a desire to breed him or do the conformation thing. I dont think he would do well in the show ring anyways because he doesnt have the same structure as the show dogs. He just has the coat.

I always thought I'd have to put Chihuahua's on a list like this, until my daughter against my advice, got one. I don't know if its because she grew up with my JRT's but she's a pretty cool little dog. Doesn't fit the stereotyping I had for the breed at all. So with that said here's my 5 no ways.....

Labs
Goldens
any Foo Foo dog (Maltese, Shituz, Yorkie, etc...)
Chinese Crested
any breed that slings slobber

We do tend to stereotype the breeds. For example most Rotties, and Pitts I've known have been big baby sweetheart while most believe them to be mean. And everyone seems to think Labs are so laid back and easy, I've known way too many chocolate labs that are overly aggressive! Had a chocolate lab come through the screening of my tent at an agility trial trying to attack my JRT who was sleeping in his crate at the back of the tent! That dog has been banned from CPE agility - that was only one of his offenses.

This is a funny topic, especially since Silky and I are sitting on 3 female "oodle" mixes. Couldn't pay me to take any of them. So HAPPY this is our last day here, 8 days is long enough to remind me that I don't care for Poodles /tounge --that is the only dog that ever tried to bite me.

1) I don't carry a purse so toy dogs are out of the question
2) Any rodent chasing breed, rather have a cat that is more self sufficient
3) If I have to bend over to pet it-don't want it (puppies excluded)
4) No yappy breeds, if your going to bark, then bark
5) NO OODLES

I'd have a pitty over a poodle anyday. /dance

I don't think I could come up with just 5 I wouldn't want.
I agree I don't want anything with "oodle" or a purse dog. There is no dog any of you have listed here that I would want to own. I guess at this point it comes down to I can't imagine being without a border collie. I would love a golden retriever too. Having said that, there was a shepard/collie mix I almost got from the humane society. I am more of a medium/large dog person.

But they do not come when called! /shrug

When I was little, my oldest sister had an Airdale. His name was Touser, he was an escape artist and the police use to pick him up and deliver him home all the time. I think he liked riding in the cruiser. The police were very nice, and would even leave notes, "we found Touser down on Durling Dr., call us when you get home". /Lmao They were worried that he would get hurt because he was very friendly. But sad to say, one day they got a sad call.

I don't think there are really any dogs that I would not own. I am cautious around big breeds because of my small stature but I also belong to a big dogs forum even though I don't own a large breed. The dogs on there are absolutely wonderful as are their owners. I think with proper training, any dog can be a good companion.
