Yeah, I don't think I'd be drawn to terriers of any kind again. I just didn't enjoy the aloof attitude or the stubborn disposition. I prefer cuddlebugs like Indie. (That's what I love about Wiggles the norwich, he's a huge lovebug, just a little wiggleworm of puppy dog kisses!) It's taken a big brain adjustment for me to move away from the correction based training that worked with my airedale to the positive methods that seem to work best with BCs. I sometimes find myself wondering if I'd been more successful with Rush if I'd known about clicker training then. I just went with what the breeders recommended because I figured they knew best.

Oh yeah! Bernese Mountain Dogs! Love those! Woobie was fostered with one and I swear that's why he's in love with big black dogs, she was beautiful and such a lovely disposition!

Yeah Bernese Mountain Dogs should be on my list. Probably where the Dalmation is. I like Dalmations a lot but I think I may like Bernese Mountain Dogs a little more.

surprisingly BC is not going to be my number one....

1. Mini poodle (my first was the best dog i will ever know, i miss him more than anything)
2.BC (snoopy is either the smartest or dumbest dog i have ever met, i am def. leaning towards choice one)
3. Dobie ( i have always adored these dogs)
4. Giant Schnauzer (they mesmerize me)
5. Great Dane (dido, same as GS)
6. BMD (so gentle and loving)
7. Nova Scotian DTR (beautiful smart creatures)
8. Bull Terrier (I love the look and the strong will they have)
9. Paplions (sp?) (not at all a froo-froo dog)

Geeze, after looking at these lists you would think that this was border collie forum or that people actually liked their dogs. XD Lmao, all jokes aside my list:
#1: Border Collie
#2: Aussie Shep.
#3: Golden Ret.
#4: Ber. Mountain ( Although I wouldn't actually own one, life span is too short! )
#5: Sheltie
#6: Huskey
#7: Rottie

That's all I can come up with right now. XD

This is a tough list. I have had a St. Bernard cross, a RR/GSD/husky cross, a terrier/lab cross and a BC/spaniel cross. They were all wonderful in their own way. Our current BC is very smart, similar to an energizer bunny in patrolling the property for bugs, birds, bunnies, etc. I guess my list would be

BC
St. Bernard (despite the short life span)
Papillon
Jack Russell
any smaller size rescue dog
